AND CAPTURING LOVE

Hi im Mark and Im a destination - documentary -  candid - Studio Portratuire and Newborn-Family Photographer based in the beautiful city of Derry in the north west of Ireland.

Photography I feel is a unique art, everyone can look at a moment and think and feel something but I believe my photography captures just that brief second of magic, the father of the brides face when he sees his little girl in her wedding dress for the first time, the flower girl strolling down the alter bursting with cuteness overload, the glance a bride shares with her groom that omits love and intimacy, these moments are the ones I challenge and push myself to capture on the most important day our your life.

My journey started by picking up a friends DSLR camera in 2009 and instantly falling in love with photography, I love the creativeness and challenge of producing natural moment catching glimpses of people lives and knowing how much photography can evoke emotions from my couples.

After a few years of studying photography within a college and workshop setting I took the plunge and dedicated all my energy to working full time and opening my own studio in 2013 and wedding client base from then forward.

My passion is my end product, knowing I've put everything I have into my album designs to my editing and creating art in which you will cherish and share with your children and grandchildren in years to come.

If someone asks what style do you shoot in I always find this question tricky but my response is almost always "fun". I have still to meet a bride or groom that genuinely likes having there photo taken so I take it upon myself to inject fun into every situation and allow my couples to forget I'm there and let the natural sparks fly with a few laughs and a bitta craic added in there.

I now also cover portraiture, first communion, product, commercial, family and newborn photography within my studio, this is times where I feel I can push my artist ideas into creating more everlasting memories. 

In addition to my full time work I now teach and operate photography workshops within Northern Ireland for our next generation of up and coming photographers with wedding and studio lighting workshops open every view months and operate a online forum to help educate and direct members.
